The Most Popular Questions Asked Today When Comparing Emulators:

  • Can your emulator support CCStudio v3.3 SR12?

CCStudio v3.3 SR12 is already available.  This update includes support for F2823x RevA, C6474, TCI6484, DA830, c6747, c6745, OMAP-L137, F28027, and CortexM & CortexR. Does your emulator have drivers for this important update?

  • Is your emulator CCStudio v4 ready?

CCStudio v4 is now in the mainstream.  Does your emulator support it?  Click here for more CCStudio v4 information.

  • Does your emulator support 1.8 volt IOs?

Devices and target boards are being released with 1.8 volt IOs.  Can your emulator support this, or does it need an adapter at extra cost?

  • Is USB only full-speed or High-Speed USB 2.0?

Check the fine print for high-speed USB 2.0 at 480 MB/s and not full-speed at only 12 MB/s.

Blackhawk emulators support CCStudio v3.3 SR12, CCStudio v4, and 1.8v IOs (no extra adapter cost necessary).  All our USB models are High-Speed USB 2.0 - 480 MB/s.  For more detailed information, click a link below.

Which XDS100 version is right for you?

This is the question you have to ask yourself, and Blackhawk has the answer.  Our new USB100v2 model D (BH-USB-100v2D) will support CCS v3.3 and CCS v4 and later.  There is no longer any decision to make if you still have projects requiring CCS v3.3.  The tables below show why the Blackhawk USB100v2 model D is the correct decision.

Note 1:

Blackhawk has added support for CCS v3.3 with our latest USB100v2 Model D unit.

If you are using CCStudio v3.3, but not one of the supported devices, you can update to CCSv4 for the XDS100 (v1 or v2) at no cost.

TI provides XDS100 support under CCS v4 free of charge (registration/download of software is required).   Go to the following link for more CCSv4  information: http://tiexpressdsp.com/index.php/CCSv4#Downloads

Note 2:

The TI reference design for the XDS100v1 includes support for this feature but no one offers a product with this feature, except Blackhawk.

Note 3:

Blackhawk can support both CCS v3.3 and CCS v4 and later with our latest USB100v2 Model D unit.
