This is a version 1 device and can also be identified by a serial number beginning with NBxxxx.	This is a version 2 device and can also be identified by a serial number beginning with NCxxxx (where xxxx is 2499 and under).	This is a version 2, model D device that can also be identified by it 5 in. ribbon cable, 20-pin cTI JTAG and mini-USB connectors, and a serial number beginning with NCxxxx or NDxxxx (where xxxx is 2500 and over).

CCS v3.3 NOTE:

XDS100v2-class products are design to be used with CCS v4 and later.

You cannot just use any XDS100v2 product with CCS v3.3.

Please contact your XDS100 vendor for more details.

USB100 Downloads

This section includes information and updates that were not originally included with the product.

Product Upgrade to Version 2*

This update will convert your Blackhawk USB100 version 1 hardware into a version 2 product. Updating to version 2 will require the use of CCS v4, and increase the number of compatible devices.

The distribution download includes all the files and outlines the steps necessary to perform the update via the product's USB connection. No special programming hardware is necessary.

* This upgrade also includes the XDS100v2 CPLD update.

CPLD Firmware Upgrade

This upgrade will update the firmware inside the CPLD component of the product.

This firmware change has been made in support of --some detected problems-- with TI ARM-based devices with adaptive clocking return clocks (i.e. OMAP-L138 with an ARM9 processor core). Unless you are currently experiencing a problem with a TI ARM-based device, you will not see any difference with this update.

The distribution download includes all the files and outlines the steps necessary to perform the update via the product's USB connection. No special programming hardware is necessary.

USB100v2 (model D) Downloads

This section applies to latest model that has a ribbon cable as shown above. You can also determine this by a serial number beginning with "NCxxxx" or "NDxxxx" where 'xxxx' is 2500 and over. If you are not sure, please contact Blackhawk for clarification.

Yes, you can configure you product for use with CCS v3.3 or v4 quickly and easily. The distribution download includes the steps and files that allow reprogramming via the product's USB connection.
